... while I believe that CrossFitters are the bees knees, we are NOT "better than everyone else". We do not necessarily work harder than other athletes. We are not superior simply because of our style of training. We believe in this certain method, we love the community that comes with it, and we work as hard as we can for the time we are in the gym at accomplishing whatever task is put before us... simple as that.
With that being said, I would rather have the body of an avid CrossFitter than a steroided musclehead (plus the knowlege that I EARNED my muscles through pure hard work) or a competitive marathon runner (who would struggle to jump over a pencil).
Just some food for thought...
Today kicked my ass.... But I'm feeling good right now. Just stopped sweating btw. I like what you're saying about crossfit athletes not being better than everyone else. I think it's a misconception from outsiders that we think we are.... I mean, we are better, but not because of crossfit....

Today ERIC and NANCY kicked the WODs ass! Watching yall workout is nothing short of inspirational... seriously.
@Eric - CF has created a definition of fitness and a program to maximize our capabilities according to this definition. CF can make you insanely fit and reach never before levels of health, but its not the only way... Just think, Iditarod dogs work INCREDIBLY hard but have no clue what a burpee or thruster is....
After two and a half weeks out of the gym and only 4 days back on the crossfit train.. I feel back on track. Thanks Ryan! I finished the spare ribs and cookies for breakfast today so no more excuses! Hahah
ReplyDeleteSee you on the track tomorrow: dreading it and looking forward to it at the same time.
